Pasco - Basin Sod Farm off Sagemore Rd. Thermal Soaring Site - North of Pasco, WA Close to Eltopia.

Directions to the site:

From Pasco on Hiway 395 to Spokane. Go North about 8.6 miles from the Kartchner road overpass (near King City truck stop) to Sagemore road.

From the North go about 14.3 miles south of Hiway 17 intersection to Sagemore road.

Turn East on Sagemore and go about 3 miles, turn left just after crossing the canal and before the RC Car race track.

Then follow "NWSS" or "SOARING" signs for contests.

Review of the site:

Basin Sod farm, perfectly mowed grass for acres and acres. This site is used by the Mid-Columbia Soarers and has at least one NWSS contest each year. There is enough room to safely separate the launch/landing/parking/timing-gates/etc. No running water or restrooms, no shade, not real flat, visibility for miles. Perfect thermal country.

DO NOT DRIVE ON THE SOD, DO NOT LEAVE ANY TRASH.
