Send your completed application form with a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope, a copy of your current AMA Card, and payment for $20.00 to Doug Coleman. Note: no slope cards will be issued until a valid copy of your AMA Card has been received by Doug Coleman. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Eagle Butte Slope Rules

  1. No Alcohol or Fire. Smokers please smoke inside your vehicle. Absolutely NO pyrotechnics of any kind.
  2. Parking is allowed North of the sign/frequency pole and only on the slope side of the access road. (Landowner mandate)
  3. Frequency regulation is every pilot's responsibility. Each pilot must indicate on the frequency pole that his/her frequency is in use.
  4. It is every pilot's responsibility to assure that their aircraft is in good working order before it is launched.
  5. Pilots are to stand south of the sign/ frequency pole with the landing zone directly behind them.
  6. Absolutely NO flying over the pits/parked cars.
  7. Aircraft may traverse back and forth in front of the parking area but may not exceed the crest of the slope.
  8. Manned vehicles have the right of way. All pilots will call out Hang Glider activity.
  9. All pilots in the flight zone must be notified before Combat or Dynamic soaring may take place.
  10. All racing events will be set up south of the sign/frequency pole unless otherwise arranged.
